【子どもの甲状腺癌】アレクセイ・V・ヤブロコフ博士のメッセージ

6月5日に開催された福島県の「県民健康管理調査」検討委員会の場で、18歳以下の子どもたちの甲状腺癌が12人、その（ほぼ確定的な）疑い例が17人に急増したという甲状腺検査結果が公表されました。

参考までに、現在までの公表数値を時系列で並べてみましょう――

第11回検討委員会開催の2週間ばかり前、5月20日に「ふくしま集団疎開裁判」の会が開催した講演会で「チェルノブイリ被害の全貌～福島への教訓」を語ってくださったアレクセイ・Ｖ・ヤブロコフ博士に、今回の公表結果についてのご見解をお願いしたところ、さっそくご返信をいただきましたので、往復Eメールの形でご紹介します。

Eメール、ありがとうございます。甲状腺癌の増加――これは、チェルノブイリの経験からして不可避のなりゆきです。チェルノブイリでも、やはり3年以内にそのような増加がはじまり、5年目にはWHO（世界保健機関）・IAEA（国際原子力機関）さえも認めなければなりませんでした。これからの歳月――わたしは確信しておりますが――わたしたちは（福島県にとどまらず）日本でそのような増加を目に見える形で目撃することになるでしょう。

当局側の見解を予期するのは簡単――甲状腺癌は治癒可能である、というはず。わたしの見解をいうなら、確かに治癒可能――だが、人びとは一生を高価な薬品に縁切りがたく頼ることになる。

また、わたしたちは甲状腺癌の進行に留意しなければなりません――最も重要な点として、甲状腺癌がいくつか他の癌を進行させます。いつ、どこで、どのような頻度でそれが起こるか――これは、放射性降下物、食物連鎖、各個人の放射線感受性、人口密度など、などに依存します。

この見解をあなたがたのサイトに投稿してください。

Dear Toshio,

Thanks for your letter. Elevation of thyroid cancer -it is just what inevitable follow from Chernobyl experience. In Chernobyl also such elevation start in 3 years and even WHO-IAEA in five years have to accept it. In coming years -I am sure- we will have in Japan (not only in Fukushima prefecture) such visible elevation.

It is easy to predict what will be official response- thyroid cancer is curable. My comments: right, it is curable- but people all life will be deeply depending from expensive medicine.

And we have to mind that thyroid cancer elevation - the first mark that later it will elevate some other cancers. When, where and how many - depend on radioactive fallouts, food chains, individual radio-sensitivities, population densities etc. etc.

Please put it on your site.
